The lightning strike counter is a device designed to count the number of lightning strikes conducted through the down conductor on a lightning protection system. On the installation it is found upstream of the test joint.
MALTEP offers a lightning strike counter with digital display conforming to IEC EN 62561-6 (Lightning protection system components) which connects to a tape down conductor (dimensions 25x2 to 30x3.5mm) or solid round (dimensions 8 to 10mm diameter).
